Jeffrey B. Freedman, M.D., is a psychiatrist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Freedman is Board Certified in Psychiatry and the Subspecialty of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and a fellow of the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. Dr. Freedman has received teaching awards from the APA, residents and medical students.

Mary Barber, M.D., MDiv, is the past clinical director of Rockland Psychiatric Center, the largest state hospital system in New York. She is past president of AGLP, the organization for LGBTQ+ psychiatrists, and past editor of the Journal of Gay and Lesbian Mental Health. She is an alumna of Mt Sinai School of Medicine, NYH-Payne Whitney Psychiatry Residency, the Columbia Public Psychiatry Fellowship where she was also on faculty for many years, and the Epsicopal Divinity School at Union Theological Seminary. The Rev. Dr. Barber is currently serving as priest at two churches in New York's Hudson Valley.

He served as Medical Director of the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt, the premiere program of the prestigious Sheppard Pratt Hospital, and was appointed a member of the American College of Psychiatrists and the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry. He is a discussion group leader of the American Psychoanalytic Association and has been quoted widely in the areas of substance use disorders, personality disorders, and mental health policy.
