Work & Organizations Committee

The Committee focuses on the intersection between psychiatry, work & organizations.

ABOUT OUR COMMITTEE

The Committee on Work & Organizations applies psychiatric principles and practices to work and the workplace to improve leadership, group interaction and employee health and performance.

Work is a sprawling and continually shifting dimension of experience that is integral to almost every individual human life and the continued health of any society.  We bring our clinical experience, the cutting edge knowledge of medicine and psychiatry to the current challenges of the workplace. We also are motivated to articulate and define the essence of what is the intersection between working and mental health for understanding now and into the future. Our committee brings experience from patient care to organizational consultation as well as being embedded in large organizations as a dedicated mental health resource. We are committed to being on the forefront of the changing landscape and are currently working on written contributions to organizational psychiatry as well as management.
