The committee on Psychiatry and the Law focuses on current issues facing forensic psychiatry. Forensic psychiatry includes the intersection of mental health with the criminal justice system, with civil law, and psychiatry in corrections. The group has recently authored a book about stalking, and a book about the legal cases which have changed the face of mental health treatment. The group is currently working on a book about family violence and murder.
