Plone makes it very easy to download files: go to the appropriate folder, select its *contents* or *view* tab, select the desired file. Downloading will begin. Unfortunately, [Plone] does not provide a similar mechanism for (structured) text documents.
(Structured) text documents can be brought to your own computer using:
* Copy & Paste. IE, view the document so that it appears on your screen, drag your pointing device over the text, copy, paste into your word processor.
* Save from your browser. IE, view the document so that it appears on your screen, select File:Save from your browser's menubar. (Saving as *plain text* may be simpler, but saving as *html* or *rich text* may retain better formating. A lot of unwanted *html* is saved because of Plone's *navigation* display, calendar display, and alike.)
These are also the ways to collect comments for editing.
